New CD Campaign

Well here I am halfway through my new album project, Dark Sky Blue. 

I recorded the first half in January with my producer, Alex Wong. I told him I wanted this record to be healing. I wanted the music to have healing in it, along the melody and the lyrics. I said if U2, Sara Bareilles and Jeff Buckley had a baby that’s what I want this record to sound like. He agreed, and we got started. I wanted to do some thing new. I’ve been praying for this. Asking God to send me new musical experiences. Well, my prayers were answered. This music is new!! I’ve never been more excited and more scared to share music with you. I’m going to release a single on June 9, 2023. The song I chose is called There Will Come A Time. This song is a promise, a prayer, a statement of hope, a truth. I look forward to sharing it with you. 

I’ve never had this much time to spend with recorded songs before I share them with the world. In the past, it was write 10 or 12 songs, go into the studio, record them and put them out. This music has taken me six years to write, mostly because I’ve been living these songs. I’ve written them to help me walk through one of the hardest seasons of my life. I want to share these songs with a grateful, hopeful, broken heart.

My next scheduled studio time is in July. That’s a big month for me. It’s my birthday month, and it feels apropos in many ways. I’ll be experiencing a new decade and sharing a new experience of my musical journey with you. And yes… I’ll be 60 years old!! What the actual what?!?!
